Shah Do Shamshira Mosque Renovated in Kabul
H.E Pre. Mohammad Ashraf Ghani together with the deputy ministers and directors of the Ministry of Urban Development and Land – MUDL, and many other high-ranking government officials operationalized the Shah Do Shamshira grand mosque after its renovation, which was a part of 100 days- 100 evangels program throughout the country.
Moreover, during the ceremony the Mr. President congratulated the citizens upon the renovation of the mosque and added; somehow, all the families in Kabul have a memory of the mosque and it is a moment of joy, gifting it back to them.
Furthermore, concerning the renovation of the Mosque, officials of the Ministry of Urban Development and Land, briefed and thanked Mr. President for his exceptional attention to the reconstruction, renovation, and restoration of mosques throughout the country.
In addition, Shah Do Shamshira is the first mosque in Kabul after the emergence of Islam. The mosque with its current architectural structure was built by the mother of the late King Amanullah Khan during the 1306 solar year, and during the course of the years happened to be ruined. As far as the distinctive devotion of Mr. President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani was concerned about the mosque the restoration, renovation, and reconstruction of it were entrusted to the Reconstruction and Restoration of Historical Monuments and Mosques Programme MUDL.
Historical monuments specialists observed all the principles and standards carried out in the renovation of the mosque and technically managed all the processes carefully to ensure the completion of the project, in order to glow like a pearl in Kabul city.
The renovation of the mosque was started in 1399, a solar year by the National Development Corporation, and completed at the beginning of 1400, the solar year.
