Noristan of Parun City Comprehensive Plan Approved
H.E Mohammad Jawad Peikar, Acting Minister of Urban Development and Land – MUDL met with Mr. Hafez Abdul Qayum, Governor of Nuristan, and discuss the developmental issues in the presence of representatives of the province in the parliament and a number of directorates of the ministry.
Initially, the Governor of Nuristan thanked the leadership of the Ministry of Urban Development and Land for implementing various projects in the province especially the completion of six construction projects, distributing plots to the martyrs and teachers, and installing a heating center system in newly constructed buildings.
Subsequently, H.E Mohammad Jawad Peikar directed the relevant departments in coordination with the Mihtarlam municipality to determine the land with a capacity of 6,000 plots in Laghman due to the severe shortage of land in Nuristan province.
Moreover, H.E Mohammad Jawad Peikar added that the completion of 100 percent construction work of provincial administration, provincial guesthouses, attorney office, women’s affairs department, sports department and provincial council is a good progress and will be put into operation.
Furthermore, H.E Mohammad Jawad Peikar based on the suggestion of the governor, directed the provincial directorate of Urban Development and Land to perform technical survey to install the heating center system in the above buildings to prevent the damage to the natural landscape of the Parun by cutting down forests to use wood as fuel.
In addition, the acting ministry of Urban Development and Land continued to direct the Nuristan Department of Urban Planning, to design the construction projects keeping in mind the local engineering styles and local building materials and then send them to the ministry for approval.
H.E Mohammad Jawad Peikar pointed out that under a framework agreement with Khatib Al-Alami International Company, to create a clear map and perspective for Nuristan province and will be implemented.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the Acting minister of Urban Development land, approved the detailed plan of Parun city building on 609 jeribs (121.8 hectares) of land, which was arranged at a meeting of the High Council for Urban Development, and referred it to relevant departments to implement.
H.E Mohammad Jawad Peikar added that the detailed plan is effective, but the clear plan and prospect of Nuristan by an international company will be clearer.
It is worth mentioning, this detailed plan incorporates 42 activities specifically for the construction of cricket stadiums and blocks for visitors.
