Over 550,000 Urban Informal Houses Registered in Kabul, Kandahar
In proceed of Programme for Registration of Urban Informal Settlements, the Ministry of Urban Development and Land – MUDL has registered 557,889 urban informal houses in Kabul and Kandahar provinces.
Out of the total; 491,040 houses are in 22 police districts, 4,616 houses are in Mirbacha Kot district of Kabul, 55,394 houses are in different PDs of Kandahar city and the remaining 6,839 houses are in Spin Boldak district of Kandahar province.
Moreover, by the end of 2020, the Ministry of Urban Development and Land is committed to give occupancy certificates to 200,000 houses in 8 cities, of which 1,000,000 compatriots will get benefit from.
