H.E. Mohammad Jawad Peikar Approves Sharana Reformative Strategic Developmental Plan

Acting Minister of the Urban Development and Land, H.E. Mohammad Jawad Peikar in a meeting with Paktika governor, Mr. Mujeeb Urahman Samkanai and mayor of Sharan, Mr. Abdul Karim Zadran talked about developmental issues of the province.

At the beginning Mr. Samkanai demanded accelerating the preparation process of Sharana master plan and comprehensive plan of Urgoon district, stressed on a delegation to visit the province for the purpose of distinguishing between state-owed and private land.

Subsequently, the Minister of Urban Development and Land stated 90% construction work of Urgoon comprehensive plan has been completed and tasked the General Directorate of Urban Planning to finalize it for approval.

Moreover, H.E. Mohammad Jawad Peikar based on the guidance from the President of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in fighting for the grabbed state land, guided the General Directorate of Clearance to send a clearing team to the province.

In addition, the Head of the Ministry of Urban Development and land guided the relevant authorities to send a team to Sharana for the lining and distributing the residential plots in immigrants, Disabled and Teachers’ townships, the delegation also got a task to survey a township for the Heirs of Armed Forces Martyrs.

At the end, H.E. Mohammad Jawad Peikar approved Sharana Reformative Strategic Developmental Plan, extension of Paktika University area from 160 jeribs (32 hectares) to 250 jeribs (50 hectares), keeping in mind the specification of land for immigrants and martyrs townships, transferring industrial area due environmental reasons from northeastern part of the city to southeastern part, identifying administrative complex and educational area and also specifying animal slaughtering area in the city.
