Strategic Development Vision to be Designed for Maidan Wardak Province: H.E Mohammad Jawad Peikar
His Excellency Mohammad Jawad Peikar, Acting Minister of Urban Development and Land – MUDL in a meeting with Maidan Wardak governor, Mr. Muzafaruddin Yameen, and tribal elders, discussed on developmental programmes implementing in the province.
In the beginning of the meeting, Urban Development and Land Director of Maidan Wardak province briefed last fiscal year report, then governor of the province provided his suggestions regarding urban development in the province.
Subsequently, H.E Mohammad Jawad Peikar in generally said that designing of a strategic development vision is essential for the province and tasked the Urban Development Project to begin their studies on strategic planning at provincial level.
The Acting Minister of Urban Development and Land, moreover, assigned the General Directorate of Urban Programme Development to start study for Strategic Development Framework (SDF) and include the province in Sasaki Plan in order to prepare a development vision on the basis of American Company.
Additionally, H.E Mohammad Jawad Peikar assigned the Administrative Complex Directorate to find a proper environment for the provincial administrative complex after conducting technical studies in the province. He also given task to the relevant directorate to restitute Toop hill and begin clearance of eight residential townships building in Maindan Shar.
In the meantime, he also assigned the General Directorate of Urban Programme Development to design two comprehensive plans for Itifat and Refugees Townships within one and half month in order to pave path for plot distribution to the beneficiaries.
At the end of the meeting, Maidan Wardak governor, Mr. Muzafarudding Yameen and tribal elders, while acknowledging the Acting Minister of Urban Development and Land, pledged in committing timely delivery of local government services.
