Sayed Qayoum Area General Improvement Plan Approved in Charikar of Parwan

H.E the Minister Mohamood Karzai in a meeting with Khwaja Rohullah Sedeqi, Mayor of Parwan in the presence of Aziz Ahmad Gulistan, DM of Housing Affairs, Eng Mawlodudin Popal, Director of Reconstruction of Unplanned Areas, approved general improvement plan of Sayed Qayom, located next to Ahmad Shah Masoud settlement in Charikar, the provincial city of northern Parwan province.

Furthermore, the DM of housing affairs while explained that the Ministry had begun the survey and registration process of unplanned urban areas so as to secure its residents' properties. He added that the implementation of informal urban areas renovation and developmental policy could provide high chances to the economic growth of the country.

Moreover, the Minister of  Urban  Development and  Land considered approval of the general development plan of the Sayed Qayom area as an important step towards empowering its residents and expressed hope through the implementation of the plan the socio-economic and environmental conditions of residents of the area will improve tremendously.

In addition, the Parwan mayor also considered acceptance of the plan as a useful movement to its residents and expressed his gratitude and appreciation to ministry of urban development and land- MUDL for cooperation and full attention.

It is worth mentioning that the purpose of preparing Development plans is to prevent the expansion of unplanned areas, promote urbanism culture, improve social status and create job opportunities, as well as improve the quality, safety, and sustainable construction and residents’ enjoyment of infrastructure and desirable urban services.
