The problems of the carpet weavers' settlement project and the activities of the Chinese project were examined

Mr. Mawlawi Hamdollah Nomani, the head of the Ministry of Urban Development and Lands, in a meeting with the officials of the Qalin residential and industrial settlements project and the Chinese project, examined the problems and how the activities in these projects. The officials of the Carpet Residential and Industrial Towns project stated that the purpose of creating this project is to promote and grow the carpet industry and trade, create jobs and reduce poverty and unemployment, provide a suitable environment for industrial activities and create the necessary facilities and private sector access to land. The pristine state is for the growth of domestic industry. In this meeting, the problems and challenges in the residential and industrial settlements of Qalin in Shekar Dara district of Kabul, Behsud district of Nangarhar province, Hairatan crossroads of Balkh province and Asqalan plain of Kunduz province were examined. Also in this meeting, the agreement on assistance to 10,000 housing units in China was discussed in detail, and the project officials informed about the activities of the project and exchanged views on removing obstacles and problems to continue the project. Mr. Mawlawi Hamdollah Nomani, Acting Minister of Urban Development and Lands, called the establishment of these settlements important for sustainable economic, social and environmental growth, and handed over the necessary instructions to the officials of these projects to improve work and solve problems in the mentioned projects.
