Over 180,000 Jeribs of Land Registered in Kandahar
In proceed of State Land Bank, the Ministry of Urban Development and Land – MUDL has registered 183,088 jeribs (36,617.6 hectares) of state land and properties in southern Kandahar province.
Out of total; 41 jeribs (8.2 hectares) are unused state land and 338 jeribs (67.6 hectares) are public properties under state institutions in central city, 9 jeribs (1.8 hectares) are state properties in Arghandab district, 2,063 jeribs (412.6 hectares) are unused state land and 10 jeribs (2 hectares) are public properties under state institutions in Panjwae district, 116,944 jeribs (23,388.8 hectares) are unused state land and 2.9 jeribs are state perperties in Takhta Pol districts, 55,847 jeribs (11,169.4 hectares) are unused state land and 1,097 jeribs (219.4 hectares) are public properties under state institutions use in Daman district, 1,911 jeribs (382.2 hectares) are unused land and 96.5 jeribs (19.3 hectares) are state properties in Zerai district, 33 jeribs (6.6 hectares) are unused state land and 3 jeribs are public properties under state institutions use in Maiwand district and 34 jeribs (6.8 hectares) are unused state land and 5 jeribs (1 hectares) are state properties in Dand district of the province.
Moreover, the Ministry of Urban Development and Land has so far registered, surveyed and mapped more than 4,569,100 jeribs (913,820 hectares) of state land and properties in 28 provinces of the country.
