Nearly 100,000 Urban Informal Houses Surveyed in Herat, Farah
In proceed of Programme for Registration of Urban Informal Settlement, the Ministry of Urban Development and Land – MUDL has surveyed and registered 97,579 urban informal houses in western Farah and Herat provinces.
Out of the total; 77,335 houses are in the city and 8,230 houses are in Injil district of Herat and the remaining 12,014 houses are throughout Farah province.
Moreover, the Ministry of Urban Development and Land has so far registered and surveyed 790,446 houses in Kabul, Mazar-e-Sharif, Herat, Nangarhar, Kandahar, Farah, Bamyan and Nili provinces and in districts Mirbacha Kot of Kabul, Injil of Herat, Spin Boldak of Kandahar, and Balkh district of Balkh province and in the meantime has distributed 20,000 occupancy certificates to the beneficiaries.
