H.E Mohammad Jawad Peikar Approved Strategic Plan of Khas Kunar
H.E Mohammad Jawad Peikar, Acting Minister of Urban Development and Land in a meeting with Mr. Abdul Satar Mirzakwal, governor of Kunar, discussed the developmental projects of the province.
In the beginning, governor of Kunar Mr. Mirzakwal acknowledged the struggles of the ministry regarding surveying the administrative complex and teachers’ township also demanded other developmental projects to be implemented in the province.
Subsequently, H.E Mohammad Jawad Peikar tasked the General Directorate of Clearing based on the decree from the Office of Chief of Staff to the President to survey the 5,200 hectares of land on the way of Kunar Sea.
In addition, the General Directorate of Designing and Urban Planning Implementation got a task to review the Urban Master Plan of Asadabad and keeping in view the needs, prepare the structure of the plan and for the preparation of the new Asababad city start work of survey.
Furthermore, H.E Mohammad Jawad Peikar, guided the relevant departments to recognize suitable land to construct townships for heirs of Armed Forces Martyrs, disabled and other needy people of the province in one of the provinces of the eastern zone especially in Nangarhar, meanwhile, the Directorate of Planning and Design has to prepare strategic plans of four, Marwa, Sarkano, Noor Gul and Sawkai districts.
In the meeting, Mr. Mohammad Jawad Peikar expressed that out of 1,400 jeribs (280 hectares) of land that has been allocated to construct university departments in Khas Kunar district, 400 jeribs (80 hectares) of the land has been allocated for the residency of the teachers.
Furthermore, the head of the ministry stressed on the implementation of the developmental projects in the province, and tasked the Afghanistan Design Center and part of the administrative complexes to design the exhibition building of Asadabad.
At the end of the meeting, H.E Mohammad Jawad Peikar approved strategic plan of Khas Kunar of Kunar province and handed over to the relevant entities for implementation.
