Over 80,000 Urban Informal Houses Registered in Balkh
In implementation of the Programme for Registration of Informal Urban areas, the Ministry of Urban Development and Land – MUDL has registered 83,555 houses in northern Balkh province.
Out of the total; 80,938 houses are in the city of Mazar-e-Sharif and the remaining 2,617 houses are in Balkh district of Balk province.
Moreover, the Ministry of Urban Development and Land has in view that by the end of 2020, 500,000 occupancy certificates will be distributed to the houses in informal areas of Kabul, Mazar-e-Sharif, Herat, Kandahar, Jalalabad, Farah, Bamyan and Nili as a result of which 3,000,000 families will enjoy secure properties.
