Over 198,000 Jeribs of Land Registered in Helmand
In proceed of state land registering, the Ministry of Urban Development and Land – MUDL has surveyed and registered 198,361 jeribs (39,672.2 hectares) of state-owned land and public properties under state institutions use in Helmand province.
Out of the total; 190,711 jeribs (38,142.2 hectares) is unused and the remaining 7,650 jeribs (1,530 hectares) are public properties under state institutions use land that is divided into 87 portions.
The Ministry of Urban Development and Land – MUDL has started state-owned land surveying and registering in order to find out the exact numbers of the land and along with restitutions the path will be paved for the implementation for public projects across the country.
Moreover, the ministry in the past one year has surveyed and registered more than 5.5 million jeribs of land throughout the country and has also provided opportunities for its effective use and implementation of public projects.
