DM of Housing Affairs
Deputy Ministry of Housing Affairs within the framework of the Ministry of Urban Development and Land – MUDL is consist of five directorates which are the following:
Directorate of Policy and Planning of Housing: Designing, programming, policy making and planning are the core tasks of the directorate in order to meet housing need of the public.
Directorate of Technical Design of Housing: The Directorate of Technical Design of Housing is carrying out all the technical aspects of housing, such as the design of blocks of flats and apartments to meet existing housing demand.
Directorate of Socio-economic Studies: Conduct of socio-economic analysis of housing construction, design and develop policies and programs to meet the needs of citizens in the area of housing and access to housing for all segments of society, study and evaluate purchasing power, customer needs and abilities in the current and future purchasing tasks are the main responsibility of the directorate.
Directorate of Settlement: The Directorate of Settlement has the task of providing affordable housing to all eligible and vulnerable citizens and responding to the housing sector's current needs. Moreover, other duties of the department are also to regulate the sale and distribution of housing to the compatriots.
Directorate of Reconstruction of Unplanned Areas: The directorate is responsible for implementing land improvement plans in accordance with the reconstruction policy, after distributing occupancy certificates to the houses in the urban informal areas through the Programme for Registration of Urban Informal Settlement (PRUIS). Reconstruction of urban unplanned areas, provision of public services, providing proper opportunity for urban living and employment are among the tasks and objectives of the Directorate of Reconstruction of Unplanned Areas.
