Over 76,000 Informal Houses Registered in Herat

In implementation of Programme for Registration of Urban Informal Settlement (PRUIS), the Ministry of Urban Development and Land – MUDL has registered 76,629 houses in Injil district and Herat province.

Out of the total; 71,498 houses are in Herat city and the remaining 5,131 houses are in Injil district of the province.

In addition, 1,574 occupancy certificates have been distributed to the people in unplanned and informal urban areas in Herat and the process has firmly undertaken by the ministry.

Moreover, the Ministry of Urban Development and Land, has covered districts for the purpose of rapid growth of the cities in the Programme for Registration of Urban Informal Settlement, such as Mirbacha Kot district of Kabul province, Spin Boldak of Kandahar province, Balkh district of Balkh province and Injil of Herat province.
