Over 50 Pylon Areas Consolidated in Laghman
In facilitating the CASA-1000 power project, the Ministry of Urban Development and Land – MUDL has consolidated 65 pylon areas in eastern Laghman province.
Moreover, the consolidated land is in Bad Pash, Qarghae provinces and in the outskirt of Mihtarlam the provincial city of Laghman province.
Furthermore, based on the technical survey of MUDL, out of the 174 pylons in Laghman; 44 pylons are on public land, 21 pylon are on state-owned land and the clearance of land for 109 pylons are underway.
In addition, the 1,300 megawatt electricity is being transferred from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan through a 1,250 kilometers of power line to Afghanistan and then to Pakistan, which is being funded by the World Bank.
