Over 15,000 Jeribs of Land Restituted in Balkh
In proceed of restituting land, the Ministry of Urban Development and Land – MUDL recently restituted 15,000 jeribs (3,000 hectares) of state-owned in two phases in northern Balkh province.
In addition, at first phase 5,000 jeribs (1,000 hectares) restituted in Hairatan and the construction on that has been demolished.
Out of the total 15,000 jeribs (3,000 hectares) of grabbed land in Dasht Shoor at a distance of 3 kilometers from the city of Mazar-e-Sharif, over 70 percent of that has been restituted and the remaining 30 percent that includes townships, will be restituted.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Urban Development and Land related to the grabbed land, has recognized tens of the usurpers that will be introduced to the justice and judicial bodies.
Out of 180,000 jeribs (36,000 hectares) of grabbed state land in Balkh province, the Ministry of Urban Development and Land has restituted 80,000 jeribs (16,000 hectares) of land and has commitment to restitute the remaining land shortly.
It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Urban Development and Land has so far restituted over 500,000 jeribs (100,000 hectares) of state land throughout the country and related to this 18,823 usurpers have been recognized out of which; 15,823 of them have been introduced to justice and judicial departments.
