Consolidation of 5,155 Jeribs Land for Railway of Khawaf-Herat
The Ministry of Urban Development and Land has completed consolidation of 4,631 jeribs of land out of which 524 jeribs of land has been consolidated as private property.
Moreover, the second phase of forth portion of the railway of Khawaf-Herat has been started from Rabat Paryan, Deh Sorkh Zinda Jan, Keshk Bad Saba, Khwaja Ha, Nok Injil village, Rabat Afghanan, Faizabad, Safar Khan, Kabotar Khan, Kopak, Mahyan and Gaw-e Sia of Zinda Jan and finishes at the south airport (Herat Provincial Station) in Herat province.
In addition, through the implementation of the project, Afghanistan will be having railway for the first time and through the railway Afghanistan will attain access to the railways of Iran, Turkey, Europe and Iranian ports in Persian Gulf.
The Khawaf-Herat railway line has been designed in 137 kilo meters of length in four portions, out of which two portions at a length of about 76 kilo meters are inside Iran and the remaining 62 kilo meters are inside Afghanistan land.
