Strategic Development Planning Project

Strategic Development Planning Project (SDP) was created in 2006 for the purpose to evaluate the structural level of the city, area and country as a whole, to bring up good governance and urban planning system. The aims are to prepare and arrange strategic planning and urban master plans.

Moreover, the main aims of this project are; balanced development and providing social justice in light of the layout of the urban strategic plans, access to a reliable development via determined perspectives and adaptive plans using popular perceptions, upgrading the space of the weak class in the urban developmental strategic documents, identification of economical drivers of city and area and utilizing that for the development of the city, preventing the centers of big cities from polarization and the buildings which are against the detailed plans, preventing the destruction of agricultural and historical areas, justly access to urban services along with designing and implementing strategic urban plans and benchmarking the construction using the new technology.

In addition, the project has obviously achieved 12 clear strategic visa plans throughout the country which are in; Ghor province, Uruzgan, Parwan, Nimroz, Paktika, Faryab, Samangan, and Farah and the planning and designing of 19 clear strategic plans in Baghlan province, Daikundi, Samangan, Ghazni, Maidan Wardak, Takhar, Helmand, Zabul, Badghis, Kandahar, and in Bamyan.
