Over 85,000 Urban Informal Houses Registered in Herat

In Implementation of the Programme for Registration of Urban Informal Settlement (PRUIS), Ministry of Urban Development and Land – MUDL has surveyed and registered 85,565 urban informal houses in western Herat province.

Out of the total; 77,335 houses are in different police districts of Herat city and the remaining 8,230 of that are in Injil district.

Moreover, the Ministry of Urban Development and Land has so far registered more than 790,446 urban informal houses in Kabul, Mazar-e-Sharif, Herat, Kandahar, Jalalabad, Farah, Bamyan and Nili and at the same time 20,000 occupancy certificates have also been distributed.
