Over 60% Consolidation Work of 500kw Completed in Shabarghan-Dashte Alwan
Based on the report from the Directorate of Public Projects of Coordination Affairs of the Ministry of Urban Development and Land – MUDL has 65 percent completed consolidation and assessment of the 500 kilowatt Turkmenistan energy project along the way of Sharbarghan - Dashte Alwan; has provided better circumstances to Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) to install pylons and lining.
Out of the total 775 pylons in the northern four provinces; 440 pylon areas have been consolidated and assessed out of which 120 areas are in the outskirt of Shabarghan, 123 areas are in Balkh, 174 areas are in the outskirt of Samangan and the remaining 23 areas are in Baghlan province.
Moreover, out of the 440 pylon areas; 241 areas are state-owned and the remaining 199 areas are private land,
Furthermore, the importing 500kw energy project from Turkmenistan, having the capacity of 1,000 megawatt at a cost of 60,000,000 dollar funded by the Asian Development Bank, which will be transferred through Jowzjan, Balkh, and Samangan to areas of Dasht-e Alwan of Baghlan province and by the extension of the line provinces such as Kabul, Logar, Maidan Wardak, Ghazni, Kandahar, Nangarhar and Kunar will be benefited from the electricity.
