Mr. Mahmood Karzai Meets Kunar Governor
Mr. Mahmood Karzai, Acting Minister of Urban Development and Land – MUDL met with Mr. Abdul Satar Mirzakwal, Governor of Kunar province.
Moreover, the meeting was joined by Mr. Roshaan Wolusmal, Deputy of Urbanization Affairs, Ms. Khatira Sadaat, Deputy Minister of Finance and Administrative, Mr. Abdul Aziz Mommand, Director of Urban Development and Land of Kunar, Mr. Abdullah Safi, Mayor of Kunar, and other officials.
In the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Abdul Satar Mirzakwal, Governor of Kunar, in addition to the construction of Khas Kunar Township, asked for emergency measures to implement the provincial Administrative Complex, precious stones commercial center, governor's guest house, districts development plans, Kunar regional plan as well as municipality buildings for 7 districts of Kunar and cooperation in implementing the developmental plan of Assadabad city.
Afterwards, Mr. Mahmood Karzai, Acting Minister of Urban Development and Land, in his remarks, assured that the rest of the design work of the Governor's Guest House project will be finalized and sent to procurement soon and technical delegation will also be sent to the province to prepare Assadabad master plan.
In addition, Mr. Karzai also promised to send a delegation to Khas Kunar district for technical survey and land clearance.
During the meeting, besides discussing the land clearance, the Acting Minister of Urban Development and Land Affairs gave necessary instructions to the relevant officials regarding the finalization of urban plans of Noor Gul, Narang and Sarkano districts and implementation of other important projects.
The Director of Kunar Urban Development and Land during his speech said; the new town of Khas Kunar is vital for the development of the province, which will include the airport, Sayed Jamaluddin Afghan University administrative complex, industrial park, residential and commercial areas. He mentioned the importance of sports and recreation centers, roads and other modern facilities, he again stressed the need for joint cooperation in the construction of such facilities.
