Immigrants Township Comprehensive Plan Approval Facilitates 6,500 Families in Laghman
H.E Mohammad Jawad Peikar, acting minister of Urban Development and Land – MUDL in a meeting with Mr. Mohammad Asif Nang governor of Laghman and MPs discussed relevant developmental projects in the province.
Initially, Mr. Asif Nang and parliament members of the province applauded the achievements of the minister, then demanded the transferring of 13,000 jeribs (2,600 hectares) of land, restoration of urban informal and unplanned houses, construction of three hospitals, construction of cricket board’s project and provincial department of education and sports surrounding wall.
Subsequently, the minister of Urban Development and Land said, the ministry has special commitment toward the development of Mihtarlam and as a whole Laghman also guided the municipality and directorate of urban development and land to start the utilization of 13,000 jeribs (2,600 hectares) of land for public projects, besides that he tasked the directorate of transferring land to accelerate the work of the mentioned figure of land demand for the cabinet.
H.E Mohammad Jawad Peikar also said, Mihtarlam 100-bed Hospital, Ali Shang 20-bed Hospital and Alingar 20-bed Hospitals are near to be completed and will be released for biding.
Meanwhile, the acting minister of Urban Development and Land, regarding the expenses of cricket board and provincial department of education and sports’ surrounding wall project, guided the relevant departments to survey and allocate necessary budget.
In addition, H.E Mohammad Jawad Peikar guided the relevant departments to allocate budget for the first phase of Sorkhakan Park and start practical work of the park.
During the meeting, Mr. Mohammad Jawad Peikar tasked the General Directorate of Urban Planning to complete the designing of industrial park of Mihtarlam in a week and prepare it for approval.
Mohammad Jawad Peikar approved the reformative detailed plan of Laghman Provincial Administrative Complex implementing on 412 jeribs (82.4 hectares) of land and townships for returnees and IDPs family.
Along with this, H.E Mohammad Jawad Peikar approved the reformative strategic plan of Mihtarlam city and handed over to the municipality for implementation.
It is worth mentioning that the township being constructed for the returnees and displaced families have 6,500 plots.
Last but not least, H.E Mohammad Jawad Peikar insisted on the importance of the developmental projects and tasked the municipality of Mihtarlam in light of the decree 305 from the Office of Chief of Staff to the President of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to distribute the plots to the needy families.
